Custom Metal Stamping Die - Custom Progressive Die

Custom metal stamping is the specialty of Bahrs Die & Stamping. We provide custom metal stamping, progressive metal stamping, and custom die stamping to a wide range of industries. From small, intricate parts to large complex metal stamped parts, Bahrs Die & Stamping is equipped to handle your custom metal stamping production needs.

Our modern, high-speed presses enable us to use the latest metal stamping methods in producing all types of metal die stamped parts.

We have metal stamping presses up to 176 tons equipped with automatic coil-feeding equipment. The result is high volume custom metal stamping output that meets the most demanding metal die stamping schedules at the lowest cost.

Bahrs Die & Stamping customers routinely transfer metal die tooling from other vendors or from in-house metal die stamping departments to resolve custom metal stamping quality and delivery related problems. The custom metal stamping processes and tooling at Bahrs Die & Stamping are designed around the needs of the customer. When production metal stamping volumes are high, we will typically build custom progressive die tooling. When multiple operation metal stamping tooling is appropriate, that’s what we build. We are flexible in our custom metal stamping approach.

The result is high and low volume metal stamped parts that meet your custom metal stamping requirements at the most economical cost.

Custom metal stamping is done using materials including, but not limited to, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, aluminum, vulcanized fibre, copaco paper and plastics. We have 16 metal stamping presses from 27 tons to 176 tons. With over 75 years of experience in the business, Bahrs Die & Stamping can handle small, medium and high volume custom metal stamping production runs.

Custom Metal Stamping is the process of placing flat sheet metal in either blank or coil form into a metal stamping press where a tool and die surface forms the metal into a shape. Metal stamping can include a variety of sheet metal forming manufacturing processes, such as punching using a machine press or stamping press, blanking, embossing, bending, flanging, and coining. Custom metal stamping can be a single stage operation where every stroke of the press produces the desired form on the sheet metal part, or could occur through a progressive series of stages using progressive dies. The process is usually carried out on sheet metal, but can also be used on other materials.

Custom metal stamping can be applied to a variety of materials based on their unique qualities for a number of applications across a wide range of industries. For example, custom metal stamping may be required to form and process base common metals or rare alloys for their application specific advantages. Areas such as aerospace, electrical, and the defense industry may require metal stamping of beryllium copper for its electrical or thermal conductivity. Other industries, such as the automotive industry, require custom metal stamping of high strength steel and its many alloys for various applications.
